Our Mission

Must Love Dogs NW is dedicated to preventing animal homelessness.

It is our mission to reduce and prevent animal homelessness in our region by being the most innovative and service oriented rescue in the area. We will accomplish this by providing spay/neuter programs, canine leadership and community education, and a comprehensive adoption program.

Spay and Neuter Philosophy

Many of the dogs we foster are not altered when we receive them. Must Love Dogs NW feels very strongly about controlling overpopulation and will provide spay and neuter procedures before any adoption takes place. We offer several spay/neuter grants per month to members of the community. Behavior Modification

All dogs undergo an individual behavior assessment prior to coming into our program. This evaluation continues once the dog enters foster. For those dogs who stay with their current owners prior to adoption due to a lack of available foster homes, we use our evaluation to discuss needs and training options while awaiting their forever home. This allows our team to begin the process of behavior modification so that the dog and their new owners may live a happy and healthy life moving forward.

Community Education

Through events in the community such as our Microchip Clinics and presence at local events, Must Love Dogs NW aims to educate about responsible dog ownership and be a leading resource for those in need.
