MUST LOVE DOGS NW IS DEDICATED TO PREVENTING ANIMAL HOMELESSNESS

Dear friends, donors, volunteers and supporters:

After 15 years of connecting scores of adoptable dogs and cats with new ‘forever homes,’ our nonprofit Must Love Dogs NW, made the difficult decision to dissolve the organization. Although sad, we are so proud to recognize that many pet families have been helped through MLDNW’s services and programs. Our last day of operations will be August 15, 2021.

This past year has shown us stories of amazing kindness as well as heart-shattering indifference, emphasizing the desperate need for the work we and other partner organizations do, such as finding families for homeless pets, providing lifesaving services for animals in need and creating services to keep much-loved companions healthy and in their homes.

Moving forward, we’re taking the opportunity to partner with our respected friends at Second Chance Companions to transfer our resources and to help them expand their services to pet owners in need, in alignment with the needs of our local community such as spay and neuter services.

Must Love Dogs NW is assisting Second Chance Companions to continue the Compassionate Grant program, initially launched by MLDNW. This grant program provides financial assistance and resources to pet guardians struggling with economic hardship when pets are in life-threatening situations and helps pay for urgent and emergency veterinary care.

We love and thank our scores of volunteers and donors for many years of loving guidance, support and active engagement in bettering the lives of pets. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

Cheers,

Courtney Givens
