Since 2008, Must Love Dogs NW has been deeply committed to ending pet homelessness in our community. We strive to educate the public on responsible dog ownership, behavior modification, and training assistance. We work to rehome dogs that are abused, neglected, homeless or about to be homeless and those in shelter settings. We provide spay/neuter and microchip assistance to animals in need. Through our volunteer foster network we are able to provide a loving home environment where we can get to know our dogs well and fully assess their needs. How could you not love this happy boy?? Turk is a 1-1/2 year old 98lb Chocolate Lab with tons of energy! Hed like to be taught some manners and obedience! He has some basics down like sit and has been working on wait. Hes incredibly food motivated and wants to please so training should be a breeze. Turk needs to burn off his energy daily. Are you a runner? Hiker? Just love to throw a ball in the bark yard? Hell take it all! Fetch is one of his favorite pass times, next to carrying his chews with him everywhere he goes and convincing humans to scratch his butt. While Turks favorite kind of company is humans, he also enjoys dogs and cats! Cats should be dog savvy since hell chase a runner. Keep in mind hes a boy big with little understanding of his size so kids should be old enough to be steady on their feet. Turk requests a fenced yard to play in and would like his forever family to know hell need to be crated when left alone and that hes a heavy chewer, even those tough toys dont last long so youll want to stock up on heavy duty Kongs! His adoption fee is $250. Visit https://mustlovedogsnw.org/ to download the adoption application.

Cari Zoebelle he needs you...❤️

Diana Nicely 🐾❤️

He's a big bouncy fellow! My old big black lab was a big fellow too, I miss him SO much! If I could afford another big dog, I'd take him in an instant! FYI, it's not really scratching the butt, that's inaccurate, it's just the small of their back where their tail bones are, just like us humans! So it's just the back and top of tail, no worries about being gross, and there is almost NO better way to get a dog to love you right away, since most people are freaked out by the thought of giving a good scratch there. I always advise using a brush or human back scratcher if it's that untenable for one's fingers, but I never use one myself for my dogs!

Hey - I am the new proud DAD in the picture. Copper made it from Vancouver, Washington to Vancouver British Columbia. He was confused on why both places have the same name but we are working on it and he said he wants to learn how to play hockey instead of baseball now that he resides north of the border. He is settling in quite nicely and checking out his new home. Thanks to all at Must Love Dogs Northwest and Kathleen who made this a great experience. For sure this is a guy we Love big time already.

Way to go, Cooper! I was just looking at your bio today, and now you're off to Canada...eh? Congrats and have a great life buddy!!

Darcy says welcome to the neighbourhood, Copper!

Hooray for Copper!

Cooper says “welcome to our hood!”

This is so cute! This family looks adorable!!! So happy this all worked out!

Cooper's a "hosehead" now, he needs a touque, back bacon and beer (see SCTV's McKenzie Bros on Great White North, or the movie "Strange Brew")!!

Congratulations Steve - he’s a beauty!

Michelle Barlow you may have started a trend of allowing fur babies to be homes outside of WA/OR as long as the family is the perfect fit. ☺️

Dog Impi & Boy Trevor say CONGRATS!

Yay copper!!!!

WooHoo!!!! <3 😀 Congrats!

Yay!!!

Awesome! 🙂

Wonderful news!

Yay! Congrats!

This handsome fellow is Brewski! He is a 5 year old, 95#, Lab/Akita mix. However, we think hes Wolfhound too, apparently hes the only one of his litter to look like him. Brewski is a great, derpy dog full of love and cuddles. He is a bit excitable and clumsy so with think older kids will be safer. He is incredible on and off leash, heels with great recall, even with distractions present. He loves to lean into you when your relaxing or standing around. Hes down for a great game of fetch or a wrestle with another dog. We think he would do best with equal energy dog that doesnt insist on being played with, Brewski rather avoid rude playmates. He says, no to cats, they are more fun to chase. He had a knee injury that was corrected and doesnt give him any grief but he might not be able to do intense activities for a long duration or as he ages. He is incredible, affectionate and also a great alert dog. Do you have the love in your heart and the space in your home/yard for this bundle of love? His adoption fee is $150. Visit https://mustlovedogsnw.org to download the adoption application.

Meet Alice (daughter of Zoey) she is also a sufferer of neglect, being left with out food, shelter or water. She is a 2 year old lab and she LOVES LOVE. She has been starve of attention too. Alice would love to melt into your lap and be soothed to sleep with belly rubs, but dont stop, shell remind you to keep going. She has had no structure or formal training so she is a blank slate and boy is she willing to learn. She is super food motivated and that will be the key to her success. Alice hasnt had any exposure to other dogs except her mom so they scare her, she needs help learning that they are not out to get her. She should be a only dog to start, learn who she is and gain some confidence, in time we think she could enjoy another dog. She would love an active life style and she has the drive to be a hunting dog. We are just getting to know her and dont know how she will far with cat or kids. Given her love of people we think older than toddler kids would be ok, and dog savvy cats a possibility, but we update as we know more. She could be adopted with her mother but we think they would thrive on their own. We hope she finds the person that could make her whole. Her adoption fee is $250. Visit https://mustlovedogsnw.org/ to download the adoption application.

She is learning fast. I am her foster grandma and she is VERY sweet. She gets along with our Springer spaniel and doesn't Chase the cats. She is being socialized by being around people at work and LOVES attention.

She LOVED the snow!

How old is her mom?

Alice is a lovebug who really needs human attention. She'll pay it back ten-fold! Blank canvas is absolutely accurate. With patience, love and training she will be the PERFECT lab and BEST friend.

Omg I wish. She sounds perfect except I have a pup!

Just heartbreaking, but at least she and Zoey are safe now...
