MUST LOVE DOGS NW IS DEDICATED TO PREVENTING ANIMAL HOMELESSNESS

Since 2008, Must Love Dogs NW has been deeply committed to ending pet homelessness in our community. We strive to educate the public on responsible dog ownership, behavior modification, and training assistance. We work to rehome dogs that are abused, neglected, homeless or about to be homeless and those in shelter settings. We provide spay/neuter and microchip assistance to animals in need. Through our volunteer foster network we are able to provide a loving home environment where we can get to know our dogs well and fully assess their needs. Must Love Dogs NW is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation that relies 100% on the generosity of the community. Help us make a difference today.

We have a wonderful boy looking for a home! Kodiak is a year and a half old, 50lbs and we think he's a Kelpie which is an Australian working breed. As with all working breeds, Kodiak will need structure as well as mental and physical activity daily. If he's getting enough attention from his people and some time to run he's a happy guy that likes an early bed time (in your bed). Kodiak is doing fantastic with dogs and children, in fact he's requiring them in his next home! He'll need dog siblings to play, younger or somewhat energetic would be a great match so they can chase each other! His human sibling will be the center of his world. Children over 8 that are dog savvy are the best match. He's very gentle and takes food nicely, but he may accidentally knock them over when playing if they're too small. Kodiak absolutely loves a car ride. He'll go with you every chance he gets. Are you going to the park? the store? work? it doesn't matter, he wants to go! If you're looking for a great family dog that wants to adventure this guy could be for you! Kodiak will do best with some property to run an a 6' fence.. Kodiak's adoption fee is 250. To complete the adoption application which is the first step to meeting, visit mustlovedogsnw.org/adopt-surrender/adopt-2/

Say, "Hello" to Winston! He is a 3 year old Aussiedoodle, weighing 52 pounds, looking for his perfect family. He's a total love and all about leaning into you for petting, and more petting... and more petting. He would prefer an active life but in low key environments. He gets overwhelmed in crowds and is not a huge fan of being around other dogs, but he wants to go out and hit the more reserved trails. He is a fast learner and very treat motivated so we are sure with consistency, structure and positive reinforcement he will build even more confidence in his surroundings and leash skills. Winston is super cute when he plays with his ball by himself, and can stay entertained while you take care of chores! He has a very solid foundation of household manners, no begging, asks for permission to get on the furniture and is crate trained as well. Quite the gentleman over all. However, he will bark at the fence outside, so maybe no doggy neighbors and needs more space between homes. He is ok with kids but they are stressful for him so we are looking for homes with No young children, no cats for chasing and no dogs. If you are familiar with the doodle mixes you will totally understand this boy! He's very classic Aussiedoodle. His adoption fee is $350. Visit mustlovedogsnw.org/ to download the adoption application which is the first step to scheduling a meeting.
